Mark Jackson will explain the history of the Regiment from its formation in 1694, notable events in its evolution over the centuries, the sacrifices made by the men of Worcestershire and demonstrate its visible impact upon the City of Worcester today. 

Lieutenant Colonel Mark Jackson OBE was commissioned into the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment in 1971, the third generation of his family in the Regiment. His career spanned the Cold War with tours in West Germany, Northern Ireland, UN duties, West Berlin as well as tours in a NATO headquarters in the Netherlands and the USA.. He left the Army in 2006 and was Chief Executive of St Richard's Hospice for 11 years. He is Chairman of Trustees of the Mercian Regiment Musuem (Worcestershire).
